How Would You Design Your Home in Space?

In 2010, NASA accounted its commitment to mount a crewed mission to Mars by the third decade of the 21st century. Towards this end, they have working hard to create the necessary technologies – such as the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket and the Orion spacecraft. At the same time, they have partnered with the private sector to develop the necessary components and expertise needed to get crews beyond Earth and the Moon – designing your home in space. NASA […]

Are You Ready to Program Your Next Meal?

In the restaurant business, customer service is of paramount business. Whether it is ordering food or booking tables, customers expect the restaurant staff to give them timely responses. While the customer care service staff can be the best people to answer their queries, there are times when the ‘human tendency’ can interfere with their behavior and hence, result in a negative brand impression of the restaurant. Are Chatbots be the answer? They may be too tired, careless or uninformed to […]

Will Nanotechnology Prevent Aging

Nanotechnology is one of those words that is rather frequently waved off as “science fiction stuff.” Because it isn’t prevalent in consumer technology, few people know about it. So, nanotechnology is the manipulation of matter on an atomic, molecular and supramolecular scale. But, will nanotechnology prevent aging? Some scientists take it further by believing that it could prevent dying itself! We age because at each regeneration of our cells, a very identical copy is made. In a man’s lifetime, so many […]

Should the Moon Supply Earth With Electricity?

The global headcount is always increasing and we might crack the 8 billion mark as we speak. So the need for electricity is growing with it. Smaller nations like Costa Rica show us what can be done to transition from fossil fuels and go for renewables instead. Scaling up the combination of wind, solar or geothermal energy to satisfy the massive demand of electricity is hard, though, as recent history has shown us. Maybe it’s time to tap into more […]

Is This the EM Drive Missing Link?

Ever since the EM drive first made headlines, science lovers have puzzled over how the propulsion system seems to produce thrust, despite the fact it’s ‘impossible’ according to one of the most fundamental laws of physics – Newton’s third law of motion. Now a team of physicists have put forward an alternative explanation – it turns out the EM drive could actually work without breaking any scientific laws, if we factor in a weird and often overlooked idea in quantum […]

Light Captured As Sound Makes Laptops 20 Times Faster

Light-based or photonic computers have the potential to run at least 20 times faster than your laptop, not to mention the fact that they won’t produce heat or suck up energy like existing devices. This is because they, in theory, would process data in the form of photons instead of electrons. For the first time ever, scientists have stored light-based information as sound waves on a computer chip – something the researchers compare to capturing lightning as thunder. While that […]

The Commercial UAV Show

The 4th Commercial UAV Show, held in London, is the biggest UAV focused show within the European market. While our early years comprised of the most innovative hardware, it has evolved to incorporate the software behind these systems.

This event is a showcase for new civilian and commercial applications for UAVs. Our visitors span the breadth of end users: surveying, photography, mapping, GIS, emergency services, agriculture, utilities, infrastructure and more. Our exhibitors are the world’s most innovative UAV hardware and software systems manufacturers.

The Commercial UAV Show is two events: a world-class conference focused on the progression of the UAV industry; and, a technology exhibition showcasing the latest hardware and software innovations from the mega tech companies to the latest start-ups. To visit the show is free. There is, naturally, a registration fee to attend the conference.

As the industry grows, so does the Commercial UAV Show, which is now established as the best event for this industry outside of the United States. Why is it the best? It attracts more users, more buyers, and more business.

Demo Zone
A safe, netted large area on the exhibition floor where exhibitors who’ve booked 30 minute session demonstrate their UAV.

On-Floor Seminars
Companies present case studies to the high level delegates that circulate the floor. Anyone is free to attend these sessions giving unparalleled exposure to the end user market.

The Exhibition floor showcases the latest innovations from the mega tech companies to the latest start-ups. While hardware has been a focal point of the exhibition in the early years, the collaboration with software enables the exhibition to fully educate end users on the best solutions within the industry.

The Conference runs alongside the exhibition and focuses on the future of the UAV industry. Choose from a number of roundtable discussions and select from specific tracks:

  • Technology, Data Management And Innovation
  • Safety & Security In Drone Use
  • Counter-UAV Technology

What Have We Learned From Saturn’s Rings?

Over the past 13 years, the Cassini space probe has shown us just how complex and dynamic the rings of Saturn truly are. What would Saturn be without its beautiful system of rings? The 20-year mission is coming to an end later this week when the probe makes its final destructive plunge into Saturn. As part of its grand finale, Cassini has flown closer to the rings than ever before, first grazing the outermost edges of the rings before taking […]

In 2014, the event evolved to become the AIAA SPACE Forum with a renewed focus on serving the broader space community. From the beginning, AIAA’s space-related conference has had a hybrid program, with plenary and panel sessions focused on policy and management issues as well as a strong technical program featuring technical paper presentations in space operations, space systems, space transportation, space and Earth science, space exploration, and many other topics.

Ready For the Rise of Smart Clothing?

In the Internet of Things, if something can move, it can be connected and tracked. What are the concerns of consumers wearing smart clothing connected to the Internet of Things? As a term, smart clothing or wearables has tended to mean fitness trackers or smartwatches, but the term is extending into also meaning the clothes people wear. As the share of fitness trackers and smartwatches decreases from more than 80% of devices shipped last year to 50% in 2022, smart clothing […]
